Making new memories.
I have about 7 blog posts currently sitting in my drafts - each one of them an attempt to write down and process things that have happened recently. Alas, not one of them have made it to the 'publish' stage yet, as not only are all of them quite simply huge brain-dumps, but it's all still a little raw and probably a ~little~ too personal for the internet just yet. However, if there's one thing that I've been inspired to do over the last few weeks, it's to stop focusing on the past and the 'what could have been's' - and start making new memories instead.
When I was offered the chance to work with NICCE and their new Women's Hoodies range - I said yes not just because MY GOD their hoodies are snuggly - but because it's even the smallest things - like particular items of clothing - that can trigger memories for me. (Read, it was time I stopped feeling sorry for myself and moping around wearing someone else's jumper because it reminded me of them and started wearing my own again haha!).
And, I'm not sure about anyone else, but the first thing I do when I get home from a long day at work, is throw something super comfy on that I can potter around the flat in while I make dinner/clean/procastinate on social media until Love Island comes on. And this jumper is perfect for just that. It's snuggly, comfy, and long enough to cover my bum so my two flatmates don't get the shock of their lives when they walk in!
I'm planning my move back to Liverpool and getting all excited about living in a new flat and by myself for the first time. I also have more time now for a few months to throw myself into this blog AND Girls in Work and I couldn't be more excited for what's to come with GIW and my career.
There's no better feeling than getting in from the cold, watching netflix in bed in your favourite cosy jumper with a cup of tea while it rains outside, is there? And yes, I may not have that person to order pizza in bed with anymore, but this is just another way I'll be making new memories too - changing up my habits and focusing on me for a little while - and it actually feels pretty good.
