Hello, you.

Welcome to my blog. I write about life, career & work, fashion & style, as well as hopefully providing some inspiration to achieve some of your goals too! Enjoy xx

Life lately; where have I been?

Lol at that title because a) if you follow me on Twitter you quite possibly already know the answer to this question, and b) I am fully aware that you probably hadn't even noticed that I haven't blogged in a month and really aren't bothered in the slightest.

But either way, hello!

I guess this is really just a little life update post, with one of the biggest things that has happened in the last few weeks being that I've moved! I moved out of the house I was in and into a smaller flat. I mentioned in my last post that long-term I wanted to start seriously saving for a deposit. And while I'm no where near wanting to buy a place anytime soon, I figured that there's no time like right now to start saving money, right?

This is also giving me the opportunity to use some of the money I'm saving on rent on trains and travel, and head back to Liverpool most weekends to see friends, family, and be back in my favourite place more often... and I'm really quite excited.

The other thing that's taken up the rest of my time, and making me even more excited, is a new little venture. Just over a week ago, I launched Girls in Work and I'm genuinely a little overwhelmed by the response it's had so far.

The idea for Girls in Work came one evening when I was driving back to London - everyone always says that you need downtime to be creative, right? I'd spent a few hours quite literally not being able to pick up my phone or a computer, and the thought occurred to me that there seem to be a lot of blogs, podcasts, newsletters and a whole load of other resources that are aimed at women who are freelancing or starting their own business, but not that many about us girls who are trying to navigate the office and other, more traditional forms of workplaces and environments.

I got back to London about 10pm and instantly started working on a new site, and pretty much haven't stopped since. I've managed to get two of my favourite people on board to help me too, and as a team, I really, really hope that we can make as big of a success of this as we hope.

Watch this space!

And, well... that's pretty much it! Between those two mini projects and work, I've had very little time to do much else. But, just in case I haven't said this enough in this post already, I'm so excited.

I've been trying to keep myself super busy and throw myself into things that I'm passionate about, in the hope that things will start to get better soon and pick me up from the slump I've been in for the last few months.

Hopefully, I'll also find some time to keep this little blog up more often again, too! I most definitely don't want this to go anywhere anytime soon - it's always been my outlet and it's one of my favourite things to do and well, it's been here and with me through a lot!
