5 little life luxuries that make me happy.

5 little life luxuries that make me happy.

We all have those little treats that make us happy. Those little luxuries that we don't need, but that we love to treat ourselves to on the reg because they make us feel good and make us smile. For me, it's these things that go a long way and are a huge part of self-care. So, here are my 5 little life luxuries that make me happy!   N A I L S I tend to treat myself to a fresh set of gel nails every 3-4 weeks or so. I adore getting my nails done. I love everything about choosing what colour to have,  the little hand-massages you get, and then of course, feeling like I've got my shit 100% more together when I walk out of the salon with new nails afterwards. It's definitely a little luxury that makes me happy, and that I look forward to a lot. C O F F E E I can not be productive in anything until I've had a cup of coffee. How I was ever able to concentrate in the morning before my morning dose of caffeine is pretty baffling to me. Every morning I will grab a cup-to-go on my way into work, and I will grab one on the weekends too - whether it's sitting down for a coffee with a friend, or settling myself into the corner of a coffee shop to do some work - coffee is my daily must-have! It's my little daily luxury that I allow myself to have.

luxuries that make me happy - breakfast

B R U N C H

Going for brunch is absolutely one of my favourite things to do. I think I've pretty much eaten breakfast out every weekend since I got to London and it's the best. There's just something about brunch dates with your best friends that makes me feel v grown up and like I have my shit together. If my day starts off with pancakes and a freshly made latte, it's pretty much guaranteed going to be a good day.

G O O D   S K I N   C A R E It took me quite a while to develop a good skin care routine, and I hate to admit that I still have 'off' days when all I can be bothered to do is wash and moisturise... but at least it's better than nothing, right? However, since understanding the importance of looking after your skin, I have made an effort to invest in some good products - as a treat to both myself and my skin! My current fave is Liz Earle - every product I've tried, I've absolutely adored. H O M E W A R E I ~love~ homeware. Whether it's a little (fake) plant to go in the window, a new throw or blanket for my bed, or a new and fabulous print to go on my dressing table, I love to buy new things and shake things up a bit. I always think new homeware and rearranging things is the perfect way to create a new feel for a room, without having to redecorate anything!
