My week in square photo's & 140 characters. Ep.3

This week has been a funny old week. It's kinda flown by in a little bit of blur...

I think that's because I've had so much going on, I've been in one of those moods when I don't quite know whether I'm coming or going!

I'm sure we're all aware that the clocks went back last weekend, if only because it's basically pitch black now when we leave the office. Sob. But, when I went out for a walk this week, I realised just how much I love living in the city at night... (full blog post here)

Just before it got dark one afternoon though, I managed to snap this photo of the sun setting behind the flat on the docks as I nipped into town. Golden hour is also another one of my faves.

Both of these photo's were taken on my phone, and ever since I was able to upgrade my phone a few months ago, I've taken the majority of my blog & Instagram photo's on my phone. In fact...

I think I mentioned this is last weeks post, but I'm really lucky in being able to work from home a lot. While some days that means not moving from working from beneath my duvet, I often find I'm much more productive finding a good spot in a coffee shop. And I've done this so much over the last few months that, well...

...while this was a little awks, I'm not going to lie, I'm never going to say no to free coffee. ;)

Speaking of coffee, unless you've avoided all social media this week, you might have noticed that the coffee shops released their festive menu's this week, with Costa and Caffe Nero releasing their festive cups at the same time, while Starbucks are making us wait till next week before we can get our hands on their famous red cups. If you know me at all, you'll know that I'm the biggest lover of anything festive. I'm not even the biggest fan of Costa's coffee, but I went & got one anyway... purely for the cup, and I'm not even a little bit sorry.

This also happened this week. I knew that I could make so much better use of the space that I have in my bedroom, so I was determined to get rid of all the rubbish that I've been hoarding & clothes that I don't wear, to make my bedroom look cleaner, brighter, and fresher.

I'm thinking of doing a full post on this, so keep your eyes peeled for that one!

This is completely random, but one of the girls at work bringing me a Kinder egg was legitimately one of the highlights of my week. Even if my boss couldn't stop laughing at me failing to build the toy... it was SO confusing!

I also have a habit of getting myself into embarrassing situations with hot guys. Like this one...

And lastly, I made two major purchases this week. A 6ft mirror with fairy lights for my room, and these thigh high boots that I've been lusting after for a while. I can't even tell you how much I've been loving them both!

  1. I'm really liking these posts Sophie! :) The two pictures of the city look beautiful, evening time can be truly magical with all the lights or the sun setting. Also, that's exactly what my roomm looked like a few weeks ago when I had a massive decluttering session as well haha. Feels so good afterwards though x

  2. Really love these kind of posts you've started doing! Have to say, yours is one of my favourite blogs to read :)

  3. Still loving these kind of posts Sophie - the sunset is beautiful!

  4. Love these posts! That sunset photo is just gorgeous. I would be so happy with a Kinder Surprise too, those were my childhood. I really need to invest in a big mirror like yours, just for the outfit pictures :)
