I'm having a(nother) go at creating one of those regular features things...
When I'm not writing for this blog, I'm most probably providing you all with an insight into my fabulously boring life on Instagram & Twitter, and I always forget how much of a 'mini blog' those platforms can turn into. I mean, how cool would it be to be given a diary of all your tweets at the end of your life, or a photo album filled with your Instagram's?
It's always nice to look back, so I aim to do just that with these posts; mini diary entries maybe, or just a 'week in review' kinda thing, using just my Tweets & my Instagram posts, because there's always going to be so much that we forget about.
So, first up, was our trip to Brighton last weekend that I've basically not let you guys get away from. I'm not even kidding when I say that I have 2 weeks worth of 3 x daily Instagram content planned purely from all of the photo's I took. It was the best weekend away with one of my best friends, even if we do act more like a couple at times...
Woken up to find @essaysandwine has already been up and out and bringing me a cup of tea in bed.— Soph (@sophierosie) October 16, 2016
Remind me to keep her. 😏☕️😌💜😂
Then, Monday was spent doing all things blogging. I gave my blog a little revamp with a brand new layout, one that I think I'm finally settled on and absolutely love. I also managed to find the inspiration to write a blog post for the first time in weeks, which really made me happy.
Although, anyone else have this problem...?
The number of times I preview my blog posts while writing them is ridiculous.— Soph (@sophierosie) October 17, 2016
Like it would take me 83% less time if I just wrote it 🙈
Then, Tuesday was where my week started to get complicated, exhausting and frustrating. When I returned back to my flat for the first time in nearly a week, to find that the estate agents had changed the locks while I was away without telling me, and without leaving me a key. Basically leaving me with no where to stay. I'm not going to get too much into this because it'll just make me angry again thinking about it, but needless to say, a very strongly worded email was sent to them the morning after.
And a thank you to the friend who let me stay at theirs so that I didn't have to sleep in my car or drive the 40 miles back to my parents when I was tired, hungry, and just wanted to cry with frustration. What kind of estate agents change the locks on a flat and DONT tell the tenant or give them keys!?— Soph (@sophierosie) October 18, 2016
Where do they think i'm gonna go now!?😥
Needless to say, getting back into my own bed on Wednesday was pure bliss...
Determined to put it behind me though, I spent the rest of the week making myself feel better, watching Bake Off, The Apprentice, treating myself with chocolate, and a little bit of lunchtime shopping to cheer myself up with the one thing that I know always will... clothes.
Oh, and then topped it all off with Chinese takeaway with the girls on Friday night, gossiping about the silly stuff & putting the world to rights at the same time. As well as watching the all important Stand Up to Cancer on Channel 4, which really put all of my problems into perspective, and didn't really make them feel like problems anymore.
Although, I did get a little confused about celebrity Gogglebox...
Me: 'are those guys on celebrity Gogglebox matching on purpose?'— Soph (@sophierosie) October 21, 2016
Friend: 'They're part of the England team, Soph.'
What were the highlights of your week?
