Hello, you! I'm Soph - a 22 year old girl currently living in Liverpool, spending most of her time writing, taking photo's, drinking coffee & trying not to eat too much cake.

Santorini; Hotel Tour

When Tasha and I sat down on a complete whim to book our trip to Santorini, I'm not gonna lie, we probably couldn't have thought about it less. And within five minutes of searching the Thomas Cook website, the Aqua Blue Hotel had appeared at the top of search, and, well, it seemed to tick all of our boxes straight away. And by tick all of our boxes, I mean it had free wifi and seemingly Instagrammable rooms. Lol. Deadly serious. Then, after a bit more searching, we discovered that this hotel was most definitely our favourite.

There was just one problem; it hadn't actually opened yet.

And it wasn't due to open until 2 weeks before we were due to arrive. But, the price was incredible. A 4* hotel, on a beautiful island, with flights included, at the time of year that we wanted to go. So, just 6 weeks in advance, we just booked it. And then pretty much just hoped for the best.

This may sound like a slight exaggeration, but it was literally the best decision we ever made. The hotel turned out to be absolutely beautiful, the location was perfect, it was practically sat on the beach, the staff were super friendly and don't even get me started on the interiors, which you'll see in a sec!

With all this, I couldn't not dedicate a whole post to the hotel itself, so, here's a little tour of The Aqua Blue, Perissa, Santorini.

The Room

We'd somehow managed to bag ourselves a family room, which meant we had absolutely loads of space! The room came with this living area attached to the bedroom, as well as with 2 separate bathrooms, which was awesome because it meant we could both shower at the same time whilst we were getting ready in the evening, which subsequently meant more time for shooting outfit photo's. ;)

Everything was so clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was so much storage space I'm pretty sure we had about 5 unused drawers. Both Tasha and I loved this room a lot. In fact, we were at point trying to decide how we were gonna get the bath robes, the chairs, and the sofa back to the UK without causing suspicion cause they would look pretty great in our flat, too.

The Reception/Lobby

The rest of the hotel was just as fabulous. And when we say this place was a bloggers dream, we mean it. Think white, bright, minimalist interiors throughout. I really loved how everything just seemed to flow, and there was so much attention to detail too, you literally couldn't fault it!

Outside Space

When it's as hot as it is in Santorini, you really need the outside space to be great. 'Cause lets face it, when you're not sleeping, you're gonna be spending it out here. Thankfully, the Aqua Blue hotel had this nailed, also.

I think my favourite thing about the whole hotel, was these sun beds that over-hang the pool. Not only were they super comfortable, making them perfect for napping in the sunshine, but whenever you needed a bit of a cool down, all you had to do was a little shuffle to the end to dip your feet in the water. Perfect!

As previously mentioned, the hotel was right on the beach, which meant we were able to have breakfast with a view out to sea. Is there any better way to start your day? No? Didn't think so!

Apologies for there being so many photo's in this post, but there was just so much I wanted to show you guys, and believe me when I say there are HUNDREDS more sat on my laptop that I could've thrown in here, but I do actually want you guys to be able to read this, instead of it taking 3 days to load properly!

Hopefully you can get a bit of a feel as to just how beaut our hotel was, and you can see why Tasha and I fell in love with it!

Soph
