A Swimwear Edit.

If you ask me to tell you how long it took me to decide which bikini's to take on holiday with me this year, I don't think I could tell you. DAYS probably. Let's face it, it pretty much took me the whole month between us booking the flights and us leaving for the airport for me to decide which outfits I was gonna take with me, 'cause 2 bloggers + Santorini = a hell of a lot of photo's. And I figured just as much thought needed to go into my swimwear if I was gonna get an Instagram out of this. ;)

I think I ended up taking 6 pieces of swimwear, but only wearing 3. Probably couldn't be any more of a stereotypical girl right now, but still. I needed options!

Anywho! The first one that I wore, was this nautical 2-piece that I picked up from Primark of all places last year. I love that it has one, thin, halter neck strap that goes around your head, BUT, it doesn't need tying! It's a complete strap so you don't need to faff around, neck bent, trying to tie it, and then realise that you've tied it too tight and end up having to repeat the process about 7 times. The bottom's have a tie at each side too, with the top having a cross-over detail in the middle.

The other two swimwear pieces that I wore, are these 2 black bikini's. Well, I say 2, call it 1 1/2, cause I actually just kept the same top, and mix 'n' matched the bottoms.

The black bikini top is this one from Topshop. It has a braided strap, with little gold detailing at each side at the top of the cup. The cups are a different shape from any I've really tried before, but I actually quite liked it!

One of my favourite pieces though, were these bottom's from ASOS. When I was actually sun-bathing, I wore the straps down, for obvious reasons, but while walking about, I loved the cut-out style of them, and I thought they were really rather quite flattering!

On my feet, I pretty much just wore my Birkenstocks ALL the time during the day. They're so, so comfortable, making them perfect for a walk around the island, as well as throwing them on by the pool.

Speaking of throwing on, the other item that I practically lived in, was this off the shoulder Zara dress. This one, has blue and white pinstripes on it, but I also bought the all blue one, which had a bit more of a denim effect (here) to wear for our trip to Oia (blog post currently in progress!). This one was a lot lighter to wear, and a bit more see through if I'm honest. So, it was perfect for the beach, but I'm not sure I could get away with wearing this one to the shops here in the UK!

What do you like to throw on around the pool?
