Things I'm grateful for. #1.

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to start a weekly feature here on Sophie Rosie (jumping on a bit of a bandwagon and all that), because first and foremost, it will mean that I HAVE to blog at some point during the week, and it also means that I know there'll be at least one blog post up here to try and distract you guys from the fact that I'm sat in the flat procrastinating from going out in the cold to take some more photographs. WINTER PROBS.

Blogging more frequently is definitely on this years to-do list, so hopefully this is a good place to start. Let's just hope it goes a bit better than my YouTube weekly round ups.

I'll save you looking, I didn't make it past 1. Whoops. 

So, my idea is a bit of a reflective one, and hopefully I can start sharing with you guys things I've been grateful for during that week. Even if it's been a completely crap one, there's always things to be grateful for, and I hope that it'll help me to look for all the good things that are in my life at times when, maybe, I'm just not feeling great. 

So, here's the first list of things I've been grateful for this week!



Time with family. | The Christmas holidays is always the time of year that you get to spend copious amounts of time with your loved ones. Whether you actually want to spend time with all of them is a different matter, with some of them being a bit like the Michael Bublè joke that's been going around, they only seem to turn up at Christmas. Nevertheless, my time at home at Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, and a lot of my two weeks here has been spent just Me, Mum, Dad and my Brother, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I've had time to get back blogging... again. | If you're a regular reader of my blog (Mum, I'm looking at you.), you might have noticed things have been a little quiet around here for the last few weeks. But, as I mentioned in this post, I needed a little time out for myself to kinda just sort my life out a little. Now I'm back blogging properly, I have posts (and tweets!) scheduled, I didn't realise quite how much I missed creating this little piece of the internet. 

My skin cleared up! | D'ya know when you wake up one morning and all of a sudden your face is in no fit state to be seen by ANYONE without at least a little bit of concealer. And I'm talking not even the dog. Yeah, this happened. But, after a good few days of a proper skin-care routine, things are finally clearing up over here and I'm happily sat in a coffee shop with no make-up on at all. Wahoo!

I got free cake. | You all probably know by now my love for coffee. I have all the loyalty cards for all the coffee shops. And this week I got free cake from one of them. Genuinely made my week.

  1. I love this post Sophie and this idea for a weekly feature. Last year I started noting down three things I was grateful for before bed each night, I didn't keep it up unfortunately but it definitely made a difference to how positive I was when I did it. Looking forward to seeing more of this and for what your blog holds in store for 2016! xx
