Blogging stuff thats weird if you're not a blogger.

1. Taking photo's of EVERYTHING. Can we just, erm, like guys, wait up a sec, I just need to take a photo of this... WAIT, no one touch their food before I've taken photo's! Safe to say, these don't always go down too well with your IRL friends.

2. Getting post that you don't actually know what it is/where its from/who's sent it, until you open it.  But generally blogger post is the best type of post!

3. Going shopping and basically only buying stuff if you can picture it looking good on your blog, Instagram or Twitter.

4. Taking about 5678 minutes to take a photo. And then ending up with practically 457 identical photo's on your camera roll, before choosing one, editing it about 6 different ways and finally uploading it to Instagram. This process takes TIME.

5. Putting make-up on, taking a selfie for your blog and then immediately removing said make-up and getting back into bed to write up the post.

6. You feel like everyone you speak to on Twitter are basically your best friends, even though you've never actually met.

7. Blogging events. These can be so flipping varied it's so hard to explain what it could consist of to a non-blogger! And then they don't understand why you'd want to spend a day with people you've never met.

8. Practically running home from work during the winter months. 'Do you need to be somewhere Soph?' '...Um, no. I just need to make the most of the light. Bye.'

9. You totally do not mind spending your Sunday working on your blog. It looks like work, but it's really not, we love it.

10. Just how much your blog takes over your life.

  1. Love this post Sophie! Yes I get weird looks for talking to people on Twitter that I don't know and for taking photos of my food when I'm out!

  2. Loved this post, and it's definitely so accurate. Not being able to use products until they've been photographed should also be on that list!

  4. Haha I am guilty of the buying things that look on my blog point. However I try to make it a good piece which I can re-style with my other clothes.

  5. I always forget to take photos before I eat... That's one I need to learn! So many Instagram moments et devoured. Literally. ; )

Blogging does take over so much of life but I really enjoy it. I wouldn't normally find so many people IRL that like similar things to be and have similar interests. It's a great way to not only express yourself but to build a whole social experience out of. I've had other websites and blogs before but I never immersed myself in the social aspect of it. Now that I have, I'm hooked!

  7. I can totally relate to this haha! Especially the photos thing. I take so long editing photos and get so annoyed if people touch their food before it has been photographed hahaha. Blogger probs! xx

  9. Ahaha this is so true - especially the 457 identical photos! Even though, as a blogger, you know they aren't identical and all have ever so slightly different angles x

  17. I especially relate to numbers 5 & 9. Even though I don't post many pictures of myself, blogging is sometimes the only reason why I have a shower at all (I find myself writing more easily when I feel fresh). Apart from Sundays, I also tend to spend a lot of late-night time on the blog. Like O fiddle around with my design at 3am. It's addictive right?

  20. Really love this post, so many great points to relate to!

Definitely can relate to putting on a full face of make-up just for a photo and then taking it straight back off haha! Also love the point on everyone being like your best friends in the blogging community. I love it!
